10 steps to starting your blogging business

Against all odds, blogging remain the backbone that keeps and makes internet to exist till today. In other word, there wouldn’t be something as in finding answer to question online if blogging go into extinction. Furthermore, blogging is generally accepted as one of the means of generating money on internet.

 The above paragraph is an introduction to my article on 10 steps to starting your blogging business.

As a regular visitor to this blog, you must have read the series of articles posted on blogging category. And if you happen to be new here, I recommend this article for you, which is 5 things that encourage me as a blogger; this is to let you know the benefit of blogging.

10 steps to starting your blogging business.

1 ==> Know your best niche = This simply means understanding the area you are gifted. Some are gifted in entertainment(music, sport, drama e.t.c) others in science, accounting, counseling, entrepreneurship e.t.c.

So understand and be convincing of your best niche.

2 ==> Develop a teaching habit = Since blogging is all about teaching i.e. telling people what you know. Then it will be helpful if you know how to put this into teaching.

3 ==> Know your reasons for blogging = This must be done, so as for it to be welcome by your soul and body. Knowing the reasons, will let you put up necessary strategies toward achieving it. Some are for money, fame, others as in building/ developing skill or helping others through teaching.

4 ==> Design your blog = Having concluded with the 3 step, listed above, next is setting up your blog. And this you can do, if you know little about web designing. You can contact me if you need yours today.

 5 ==> start publishing —> Having setup your blog, what left is writing and posting articles about what you proved to know at step one, check hereto know how to start publishing.

6==> Submit your site (blog) to search engine–> It is paramount to make your articles appear on search engines (google, bing, yahoo e.t.c) whenever people searches words relating to what you blog on. If you don’t know how this works, then read how to search the internet with relevant keyword.

To submit your site to search engine like google, you have to have google account, after that, visit the google webmaster section.

7 ==> Advertise your site = This looks and have same purpose as step 6 i.e. to get traffic to your site. You have to make it known to internet users. As in placing your site adverts on other popular blogs or using google Adword, facebook adverts e.t.c

Note that this goes for money.

8 ==> Link building = This also looks like the former, but a clear look at it will let you understand the difference. Webmaster calls it link building i.e. posting your site link (URL) on other blogs of the same niche via commenting. And this must be done in a sensible way, so as not to forfeit your dream for blogging. Furthermore, forum posting is also part of it. So, start posting link to your site on forums(if allowed)

9 ==> Prioritize your readers’ interest = Let your readers’ interest be paramount i.e. pay much attention to satisfying your readers.

Note that: A blogger with no readers is just like a teacher in an empty classroom.

And to make your traffic dynamic and encouraging, you need to give your time to your readers by replying to their comments, sending newsletter and giveaways.

10 ==> Monetize = I’m sure, this you will take as your main reason for blogging. No blogger will not be happy seeing his/her blog monetized. This is good in order to be keeping your work progressing. This can be done by placing affiliate code on your site to generate you money.
