How to convert .pdf pages to images is an article that will teach you how you can protect the copyright of your eBook as an Author.
The reason
Before going deep into the whole content, let me briefly explain the reason behind converting or transforming .pdf eBook pages to images once again.
As a reader or designer, you know .pdf eBook can easily be copied i.e. the contents such as the text or images can easily be copied with the help of the mouse while reading.
So as an Author, if you wish to prevent people copying your work illegally, then this tip is a kind gesture for you
Copying is when all or part of the contents are copied to be reproduced
How?
So, to make copying hard for talent robbers, then one of the measures is to convert the text to image i.e. converting each page to picture.
Copying which ought to be done by selecting the region of the text, will then be hard to perform. Because whole page would have been locked up.
Converting .pdf eBook pages to images
To make it work, two programs will be needed i.e. CorelDraw and Adobe Photoshop
I will not be spending much time here on how to create ebook, so lets go straight to the point. You can check my previous post on creating ebook with CorelDraw if you need in-depth tutorial on creating ebook.
How to convert pdf eBook pages to images
So, on CorelDraw, let me assume you are done with creating all the pages but yet to be save as .pdf.
==> Launch CorelDraw (your eBook on project)
==> Open Adobe Photoshop simultaneously.
==> Now, scroll back to the first page.
==> With the help of the selecting tool, select the whole contents on the page. Just use the selecting tool to draw a container round the drawing page OR press Ctrl +A
==> Now click on the Edit menu, click Copy
==> At the Taskbar, switch on the Adobe Photoshop, and press control N (for a new page) Make sure you set the page well.
==> Still on Adobe, press Ctrl + V (the whole content i.e the page you copied at CorelDraw will be pasted) Now, save as .jpg file via File menu > Save As
==> Now switch back to CorelDraw. You can import picture(file) saved as .jpg at Adobe to the page, by clicking on File > Import. Delete the previous content at the page and place the new picture on the page.
repeat this for the remaining pages.
When done,
==> Click on File menu > Publish to PDF and follow the wizard as you save as .pdf
When the eBook shall be fully published to .pdf, it will be protected agianst copying.
