How to delete cookies in firefox

In one of my previous posts on windows, I wrote on how to flush DNS cache, this is yet another post on windows security.

This article is on how to delete stored cookies on mozilla firefox.
Cookies(HTTP cookies, Web cookies or browser cookies) are stored on your computer by websites you visited and contain information such as login status and other user’s browsing activities.

As cookie has advantage, it also has adverse effect, cookies can also be stolen to gain access to victim’s web account.

Going to history, the term cookie was derived from ‘magic cookie’ which is the packet of data a program receives and sends again unchanged. Cookies can be in many forms, as in session cookie, persistent cookie, secure cookie, HTTPonly cookie, Third-party cookie, supercookie, zombie cookie, tracking cookie e.t.c

I’ll be showing you how to clear your browsing history, cookies and temporarily cached files and to prevent websites from storing cookies on your computer.

To delete all cookies stored on your computer;
1. Using windows 7, from the top of the firefox window, click on the tools menu.
2. Click on options.
3. A dialog box appears, Click on Privacy at the top,
4. Click Show cookies,

5. Another dialog box appears, click on Remove All Proxies.

All saved cookies will be deleted, you can now close the window.
