Trick: How to edit Scanned text and document

Gone are the days when I have to pass through hurdles of retyping a lost document, especially, when I have the hard copy(printed copy) while the soft copy (saved copy on computer) get lost. Most especially, when just editing is to be performed on the saved copy to be reprinted.

This trick on how to edit scanned text and document will save your time, as you quickly call back printed one(printed with ink on paper) to the system to be edited.

Important!

This is proven to save time, if you happen to be in computer business (typesetting), this will really help you in dealing with your clients works.

Requirements ==> Computer, Scanner and M-S word Add-in(ABBYY FineReader)

STEPS

==> Download ABBY FineReader.

==> Install the software.

==> Turn on your Scanner, as you place the paper(printed) on the scanner.

==> Launch Microsoft Office Word(I’m making use of 2007 version).

==> Click on the Add-Ins Tab > ABBYY FineReader icon

==> A box pop up, click Select Scanner and click on Scan&Read

The Process bar appears, and the Scanning window will also display.

==> on the scanning frame (as of the scanner type), click on Preview

The scanning process begins

==> Click on Scan

It start scanning,

After that, ABBYY FineReader window will display the scanned document

The document automatically opens new MS word page with the extracted text.
